| | | | | | April/May 1996 Pg-6 Recording - Mary Chapin Carpenter, along with her touring band and a number of well-known super-sidemen, were cutting tracks for her new album, co-produced by Carpenter and guitarist John Jennings, during early April at Bias Studios in Springfield, Va. Keyboard whiz Benmont Tench (Dylan, Petty), bass player Bob Glaub (Browne, Ronstadt) and drummer David Mattacks (XTC, Fairport Convention) first joined Carpenter at Bias, completing about half the album. Carpenter band mates John Carroll (keyboards) J.T. Brown (bass) and Robbie McGruder (drums) worked on the other tracks for the album, due this summer.
- Mattacks also joined Bill Holland at Gizmo Studio in Wheaton, Md.and worked on several tracks for Holland's new album, along with tenor man Bruce Swaim, guitarist Gantt Kushner, drummer Larry Taylor and bassist Paul Langosch.
- The final taping date for Roger Henderson, Chad Lash and Carey Creed's live CD has been set for Sunday, April 28th at the Seaport Inn in Alexandria, VA. The taping consists of two shows, one at 8:00 p.m. and one at 10:00 p.m. The CD, entitled Henderson, Lash & Creed: Last Call, is being engineered by Remy David and produced by Jolly Roger Productions.
